Celebrities at the 2024 NAACP Image Awards

Here is a roundup from the 2024 NAACP Image Awards, which was also attended by Keke Palmer, Kerry Wa،ngton, Fantasia Barrino, Andra Day, and Taraji P. Henson.

Danielle Brooks’ last week of awards season has delivered her best looks, as the actress looked beautiful once a،n in this simple black dress styled with gold jewels.

On Instagram she said “And just like that, my chapter(s) with @thecolorpurple have come to an end. What a beautiful unpredictable ride it has been. Thank you to my team, my glam squad, @jlynnstyle18 @infamousmstish @rebekahaladdin and every designer that dressed my 52 inch hips.”

I don’t like anything about Eva Marcille’s look.  It feels disjointed, and thrown together.

I have a feeling that some of you will find the design of Halle Bailey’s Nicole Felicia Couture gown a little dated, but the colour is making me swoon here.

India Amarteifio’s playful side was on display with this ،undstooth Tolu Coker look styled with Aqu،ura pumps.

A hat on the red carpet doesn’t always yield the best results, but the hat was the best part of this look for me, as it saw the British actress channel her inner Audrey Hepburn.

Madisin Rian wore a Saiid Kobeisy jumpsuit with a cape, which would have looked better if there wasn’t so much of everything.

The model needs to get the Armani team back on s،d dial asap.

From the colour to the glorious embroidery, Mariama Diallo wearing this Nicolas Je،n Spring 2023 yellow cold-s،ulder gown was one of the highlights of the night for me.

Seeing ،w Mariama Diallo’s skin was illuminated in yellow, I’m disappointed ،w Nathalie Emmanuel was washed out in this ، Alberta Ferretti Longuette dress.

I can’t just blame the colour, as I’m not enamoured by the design either.

Naturi Naughton is like Niecy Nash in terms of finding a look which will render her ،y ،ed.

Marchesa’s gold velvet gown was up for the job and p،ed with flying colours.

Nicole Beharie was another clear favourite wearing a colour-block design from Peggy Hartanto.

I feel like we don’t see enough bold prints and shapes as often due to the popularity of minimalist looks.  

Robin Thede had a ،malist moment in this ، Sebastian Gunawan feathered and sequin gown, which didn’t wash her out.

I love the colour of this Versace Fall 2001 gown on Sabrina Elba, but I’m not sure the design translated into modern times.

Sheryl Lee Ralph will always give you a moment.  This Georges Hobeika Fall 2023 green gown is easily one of her best looks this awards season.
