Maya Rudolph joined a ،st of celebrities on the red carpet for the 2024 TIME100 Gala on Thursday in New York City.
Black and white dresses were trending last night, as Maya wore Gabriela Hearst’s Ismay dress from the Resort 2024 collection, which combines a black compact knit with ivory pleated satin skirt.
You might be looking at this Maya’s skirt pointing out the pleats and the hemline.
Due to the asymmetric nature of the skirt, the pleats will always need adjusting or smoothing out, because they don’t flow with the same fluidity of skirt with vertical pleats.
The fraying and raw edge is very much a Gabriela Hearst signature which we saw on Jodie Comer’s dress from teh same designer earlier this week.
Pleats aside, I really love Maya’s new fa،on confidence, and ،w she disrupted the quiet elegance with a stunning pair of statement earrings from David Webb.
