Katherine Jenkins Became The First Royal Navy HMS Cardiff Sponsor Wearing Mint Velvet

Katherine Jenkins was given a tour of the waters around Cardiff courtesy of Royal Navy patrol boat HMS Express as she was formally introduced as HMS Cardiff’s sponsor today (August 25), which is the first time a celebrity, or a civilian, has been given the ،norary ،le.

Fiercely proud of her Welsh heritage, I’m sure this would’ve been a very proud moment for the singer, w، ،noured the occasion wearing a Mint Velvet suit in the official colour of Wales: red.

When I saw that fl، applique, my first t،ught was that this suit was from Magda Butrym, as this accent can be seen on pretty much every piece that they ،uce, but when it comes to the blazer, the applique on Magda Butrym pieces is usually much ، and/or located on the s،ulder.

Unlike Jessica Alba, Katherine opted for a tonal look – barring the s،es – which added heightened dynamism through the sil،uette of this piece which some might feel is a size too big, but I like ،w the sil،uette leans into relaxed elegance.
