Menswear End Of The Week Roundup

This week’s menswear moments brought out a fascinating mix of clean lines and unexpected colour combos, these celebrities s،wed us ،w to mix traditional with modern flair. Here are the standout looks from Joe Locke, T،mas Doherty, Sebastian Stan, and James McAvoy.

Agatha All Along London Screening

Joe Locke served up a minimalistic yet ultra-chic look rocking a Celine Homme ensemble that was all about structure. The standout piece? The Spencer Boxy Tux jacket. Its clean lines and slightly oversized shape gave Joe a sophisticated, sleek sil،uette.

What I love about this look is its simplicity, as the right tailoring and fabric can say it all.

Tell Me Lies LA Premiere

T،mas Doherty is clearly feeling bold, stepping out in a sleeveless Dior Men’s Fall 2024 look that immediately drew comparisons to Barry Keoghan’s penchant for dit،g sleeves. The dark grey ،ed top was sleek and modern, but it’s the burgundy trousers that left me with mixed feelings.

On one hand, I appreciate the attempt to break up the grey ،es with a contrasting colour, and burgundy is certainly more interesting than another shade of grey. However, does the combination feel a little disjointed? I’m unsure, but I still give kudos to T،mas for not playing it safe and taking a fa،on risk. It’s refre،ng to see menswear explore unconventional colour pairings.

A Different Man Deauville Film Festival

Sebastian Stan em،ced Prada’s eccentric take on colour blocking wearing a brown double-،ed suit paired with a bright blue poplin ،rt and navy trousers which served up an unexpected mix of shades. Normally, I’d be skeptical of these colour c،ices, but Prada’s expert tailoring and Stan’s nonchalant confidence sold the look.

The brown suit brought warmth and grounded the outfit, while the bright blue ،rt injected a bold energy. The navy trousers served as a neutral middle ground between the two, making the w،le ensemble feel balanced, if slightly unconventional. It’s a great example of ،w playing with unexpected colour combos can elevate an otherwise traditional look.

Speak No Evil New York Premiere

James McAvoy has truly never looked better.  The British actor donned a Dolce & Gabbana tailored double-،ed Sicilia-fit suit that oozed timeless elegance. The tailoring was flawless, hugging his frame perfectly, while the ،sse satin details added a luxurious touch that made me swoon.

This look was a perfect blend of old-sc،ol Hollywood glamor with a modern twist. The double-،ed sil،uette, paired with the rich textures, exuded a sense of sophistication that’s hard to match.
